Last Orders Please!

The Pub The Hub

The beer-stained rub
Took after a few too many

Sherbet dips, Axminster strips
Landing tensile, prop poly lean

Wham, bam, thank you, ma'am

Ding-a-ling—
Last orders, please!

Changing Direction

In Earth's secret core,
A dance of change unfolds,
Seventy-year turn.

The Cão Feels No Pain

He chews his hind, he licks, he finds
A tasty morceau there.

His mistress stays, and so he lays,
And waits till she says, “On bora!”

He is content, to some extent;
No smells does he not fear.

Until one day, he meets a stray,
And all is lost,
And you never get that back.

Eagle's Eye

In the realm where dreams take flight,
Where the eagles soar with grace and might,
Upon their wings, a tale to tell,
Of an eye that holds a vibrant spell.

Within that eye, a world unfolds,
A tapestry of colors, stories untold.
In the iris, a ring of amber fire,
Burning bright, with a fierce desire,
A beacon of passion, unwavering and strong,
Guiding the eagle as it soars along.

Oh, eagle's eye, full of color and wonder,
You traverse the heavens, lightning and thunder,
May your flight inspire, forever high,
A testament to freedom, painted in the sky.

Abstract Encaustic Wax Painting Of An Easgles Eye By Sundara Heart

I'm Swimming And There Is No Water

My arms hurt
My legs hurt
I'm swimming and there is no water

My suit is tight
Flesh hangs over the sides
My skin the color of my suit
I'm swimming and there is no water

My top lip hurts
My hair tickles my face
I haven't moved from this spot since I was 2 years old
I'm swimming and there is no water

I visited France, Egypt, the Sahara Desert
I watched the sun disappear over the horizon
Spoke six languages since breakfast
I'm swimming and there is no water

Edward Com Stevia e 50% Menos Achuchares

We applaud him 'cause he's different, try to help him through...
But when he treats you like a salop, what is one to do?

We applaud him 'cause he's different, try to help him through,
But 50% less sugar, my dear, can no longer substitute!

He takes off his slipper, he throws it to the floor—
“Me chamo é Eduardo, don’t speak to me no more!”

We applaud him 'cause he’s different, try to help him through...
But when he treats you like a salop, what is one to do?

He turns his back, then looks back to see if I’m still there.
“I’m related to Margaret, you know.”

“Sim, eu sei... compassion will see me through.”

Be Present

Be present with it, with the shit, all of it.

We are cruel, play the fool,
Try to rule, over-school
Ourselves and others.

We live too fast and try to grasp
A silly sense of what should be.

Be present with it, with the shit, all of it.

Rag & Bone Men

Four yellow chairs, an amp, some stairs—
Scrap metal of every kind.

Then there's some wire, an old holey bucket for hire.

They call them Rag & Bone men.

On Being 45

I am no longer at the water’s edge,

I am now in the middle,
Looking to the other side.
